Mouth of Sauron White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs refuses to acknowledge or answer the simple question from Fox News Reporter Major Garrettt:
How is it that you are sending emails to people who never have signed up to receive them?
It is my view that the White House is capturing email addresses from anyone who sends them an email, including emails sent through websites like congress.org
The more engaged people get with the administration, the more power it gives Dear Leader to individually reach Americans. Soon, Obama won’t need the media. Once the media wakes up and begins to stir it will be too late. The Obama administration will be able to speak DIRECTLY to the American people without the need for their words to be filtered through a questioning media.
Looks like Sarah Palin got a peek at Ezekiel Emanuel’s “Complete Lives System” and like the rest of us is FREAKED OUT! (emphasis in her text is mine)
As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!
The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.
Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.
Rep. Michele Bachmann highlighted the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff, in a floor speech to the House of Representatives. I commend her for being a voice for the most precious members of our society, our children and our seniors.
We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Ronald Reagan once wrote, “Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Let’s stop and think and make our voices heard before it’s too late.
The August recess is upon us, and Obama’s Health Care “reform” vision is foundering. What to do? In the words of Obama “people should not believe all this stuff they hear.” (link)
Mr. Gibbs implied that the Republican Party is using operatives to make it appear as if members of the administration and of Congress are encountering genuine outrage and anger over the president’s proposed health care reforms.
2) Use the power of BIG BROTHER to encourage people to “report” on misinformation on emails, websites, blogs, and CASUAL CONVERSATIONS. The White House blog today posted a message entitled “Facts are Stubborn Things” – here is the disturbing part:
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.
It looks like the Obama team’s message is to get people focused around “keeping your doctor,’ without realizing that you will be giving up control of what services your doctor may perform for you, and what kid of choices you may have in the future. The goal is for a single payer system, which by definition will operate as a government bureaucracy once the private payers get squeezed out.
The best part of the video clip on the Organizing for Healthcare site is when communications director Linda Douglass refers to a Drudge report link as “nothing that could be further from the truth”.
That link is from HERE which is a link to THIS CLIP OF OBAMA in HIS OWN WORDS
“I don’t think we’re going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There’s going to be potentially some transition process…”
I happen to be a proponent of a single payer plan…thats what I’d like to see
I hope you like your healthcare with the same level of service and caring tha you get at the Department of Motor Vehicles, US Post Office, Unemployment Office, etc, etc, etc.
This administration is demonstrating why a strong centralized government is to be FEARED
I am one of many of the millions of iphone users, and enjoy the many apps.
There is an iphone app called Trapster which allows you to have real time knowledge of speed traps, red light cameras, etc. Very handy! Well, unless you are Big Brother hoping to make a few bucks on your redlight cameras…. Read on from the Washington Examiner
…..Area drivers looking to outwit police speed traps and traffic cameras are using an iPhone application and other global positioning system devices that pinpoint the location of the cameras.
[Washingston DC Police Chief Cathy] Lanier said the technology is a “cowardly tactic” and “people who overly rely on those and break the law anyway are going to get caught” in one way or another…..
The greater D.C. area has 290 red-light and speed cameras — comprising nearly 10 percent of all traffic cameras in the U.S., according to estimates by a camera-tracking database called the POI Factory.
….In the current fiscal year, Montgomery County expects to make $29 million from its red light and speed cameras. Lanier said efforts to outlaw the software would be too difficult.
She said, “with the Internet and all the new technology, it’s almost impossible to stop the flow of information.”
Gosh darn it – if it wasn’t for that silly First Amendment…..it’s disturbing that she said “ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE”
You’d like to think they’re most concerned with your safety – but somehow generating ticket revenues without paying for a real police officer has to be even more compelling to local municipalities
