Mouth of Sauron White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs refuses to acknowledge or answer the simple question from Fox News Reporter Major Garrettt:
How is it that you are sending emails to people who never have signed up to receive them?
It is my view that the White House is capturing email addresses from anyone who sends them an email, including emails sent through websites like congress.org
The more engaged people get with the administration, the more power it gives Dear Leader to individually reach Americans. Soon, Obama won’t need the media. Once the media wakes up and begins to stir it will be too late. The Obama administration will be able to speak DIRECTLY to the American people without the need for their words to be filtered through a questioning media.
The attacks on Emanuel are a reminder that there is a narrow slice of Americans who not only don’t trust government but have also come to regard it as a dark conspirator in their lives. This peculiar brand of distrust helps create the conditions for fast-moving fear-mongering, especially on complex and emotionally charged topics like the life and death of the elderly and infirm. Prairie fires of that kind are hard to douse when the Administration’s own plan for health care remains vague, weeks away from being ready for a public rollout. The health-care bill that recently passed the House does not contain, as some have suggested, any provisions that would deny treatment to the elderly, infirm or disabled like Sola’s son. One provision allows doctors to be reimbursed for voluntary discussions of so-called “living wills” with patients, but does not in any way threaten to deny treatment to dying patients against their will. The legislation anticipates saving hundreds of billions of dollars by reforming the health-care system itself, a process that would try to increase the efficiency of medical care by better connecting payments to health outcomes and discouraging doctors from unnecessary tests and procedures. The Obama Administration hopes that many of these reforms will be made in the coming years by independent panels of scientists, who will be appointed by the President and overseen by Congress.
Another American Muslim jihad convert turns up in Afghanistan. This time he turns out to be the guys who freaked out New York City last fall due to info he provided regarding the NY Subway and rail transit systems. Not good folks…..
From the AP:
NEW YORK — An American man charged with giving al-Qaida information on the New York transit system and attacking a U.S. military base in Afghanistan has been a secret witness in the fight against terror both here and overseas, authorities revealed Wednesday.
Court papers unsealed in federal court in Brooklyn identified the defendant as Bryant NealVinas, nicknamed “Ibrahim” or “Bashiral-Ameriki,” who grew up on Long Island.
“He’s the last person in the mosque you would think about” getting involved in terrorism, Imam said.
SO WHO IS THE FIRST GUY IN THE MOSQUE HE WOULD THINK ABOUT?
You won’t see the jihad muslim connection in a headline anywhere in the MSM!
ok, we all know the leftnuts love to hate Sarah Palin. And following after Sarah Palin’s resignation as Governor of Alaska, there were the expected bleats of the left sending her off.
Dowd has written about Palin in four straight columns. Now I like Sarah Palin too, but there is SO MUCH going on right now in the world, you’d think Dowd would have gotten it all off her chest on July 5th when Maureen Dowd calls Sarah Palin “Crazy” and found SOMETHING else to talk about.
But Pulitzer Prize winning NY Times columnist Maureen Dowd is looking more like an obsessed stalker every day. You wonder if you went over to Dowd’s apartment if you would find stacks of of newspapers piled to the ceiling and in the back a shrine wall with burning candles, covered with Palin newspaper clippings and photos of Palin with her eyes cut out, and a map to her house in Wasilla.
Dowd creates a fictional “Twitter” exchange between Palin and McCain. Did I mention that she doesn’t say its fictional? Oh, yeah, better say that in case someone actually thinks this is real.
Sarah Palin is the definition of irrational, a volatile and scattered country-music queen without the music. Her Republican fans defend her lack of application and intellect, happy to settle for her emotional electricity.
Not sure how Palin gets mentioned in a column about the White MAN, but somehow Dowd makes it work……
It’s what got him elected, so we’re seeing the Organizer in Chief resort to his campaign strategy of blaming Bush and Cheney. At the heart of this “crisis” is a CIA discussion around potential plans for assassinating high value Al Qaeda targets that NEVER was carried out and actually KABOSHED by Bush! But pay not attention to the fact – focus on the headlines and allow yourself to be distracted from the tanking economy, SCOTUS confirmation hearings, Iran, Honduras, China, North Korea, Cap Trade, or Socialized Healthcare – your choice.
Imagine – our CIA actually sitting around and thinking about ways to implement the President’s order to kill or capture Osama bin Laden. Amazing, I know!
But the MSM kicks into lap dog mode to please its self created Obama- Messiah.

The Cassandra Effect makes it Main Stream Media debut in New York City’s The Village Voice! The article? A blog titled Rightbloggers’ Palin Yak Grows Dull — Let’s Go Back to Galt’s Gulch! Its not clear if blogger Roy Edroso appreciates the notion of “Going Galt” or seeks to make fun of it – my read of the article seems like he is a bit conflicted in where he stands. Either way, Cassandra Readers readers saw it here first in Sarah Palin “Going Galt”
Edroso has an edgy wit and enjoys making fine use of Alinsky Rule #5 “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” He even states such in another post:
Mockery’s like manure — it’s no good unless you spread it around.
So it looks like we’re officially a “Right Wing Blog”. Right or Left wing is clearly in the eye of the beholder.
If I dare. lets use Wikipedia to describe the Right/Left Wing Debate: (emphasis mine)
The terms left and right are often used to spin a particular point of view, rather than as simple descriptors. In modern political rhetoric, those on the Left typically emphasize their support of working people and accuse the Right of supporting the interests of the upper class, whereas those on the Right usually emphasize their support of individualism and accuse the Left of supporting collectivism. Thus, arguments about the way the words should be used often displace arguments about policy by raising emotional prejudice against a preconceived notion of what left and right mean.
Now, let us consider the notion of left/right again…….
You’ve got to love the angry white dude in the camo t shirt. And why isn’t he also holding a gun?
“I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation,”
She is also advocating the need to re-brand the Republican party -
The governor, 45, said she shared former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s view that Republicans, now trailing Democrats and independents in registration in many states, should back moderate to conservative Democrats in congressional districts and states where Republicans stand almost no chance of winning.
The object would be to build a majority coalition that reflects what polls suggest is the center-right tilt of the U.S. electorate as a whole.
You read it here weeks ago in THE GOP is a Dead Brand. The GOP of course is not ready to burn their house down yet but this is a big step towards that end! The thing to watch now will be Republicans who have the freedom to shoot arrows against her – they will be coming out of the woodwork on the main stream media. The reason? With Palin out of the Governor role, there is no party harm in slinging arrows at here – she’s just a private citizen. Watch and listen – the media will find willing hacks to say bad things about her - so don’t be surprised.
So far Texas Gov. Rick Perry is on board with Palin stumping for him, but not so much with Chris Christie who is the GOP candiate for NJ Governor.
In an article in the Huffington Post HERE, blogger Lisa Derrick tries to snarkily make the argument that the Tea Party movement is tainted and that Republicans are using free speech to justify the Obama/Hitler comparisons. Here same post with more photos is HERE but with the mocking description of Teabagging added. This is classic Alinksy Rule 4 technique of using the enemies rules against him. That is no reasonable person would want to have the appearance of promoting Nazism. (even though that isn’t what happened). Other news reports show the left working hard to put pressure on Republican organizations associated such as one in the HERE where after leveraging Rule 4, Keith Olberman gets into full Alinksy Rule 5 Mocking Mode.
I could not find anything HuffPo may have published protesting over the comparison of Bush to Hitler by lefty types. Strangely enough I did find plenty of Bush/Hitler pirctures in a Google Image Search. Weird huh?
If there anyone out there who doesn’t see this administration as the Orwellian incarnation it is, you must be asleep.
The Whitehouse.gov website does NOT index the July 1st Press conference that had Chip Reid and Helen Thomas object to the question format in online “healthcare townhall meeting” in Annadale that I reported on in Press Wakes Up and challenges Obama! Giggles ensue. Every OTHER press conference is on their site – EXCEPT this one.
Will Michael Steele please publicly TAKE AWAY this mans Republican membership card? For Pete’s sake already! Full story from Newsmax HERE
“What we can’t continue to have is to have somebody like a Judge Sotomayor … called a racist, a reverse racist and she ought to withdraw her nomination because we’re mad at her,” Powell said in an interview broadcast Sunday on “State of the Union” on CNN.
Powell said Sotomayor has “an open and liberal bent of mind, but that’s not disqualifying. But she seems to have a judicial record that seems to be balanced and tries to follow the law.”
Tries – what a nice word – how about tries and fails to follow the law? Ricci case is Exhibit A, Four out of Six of her decisions that have come before the SCOTUS have been Overturned.
Powell, a Republican who supported Obama, said his party still is not sensitive enough toward minorities.
The MSM will continue to leverage his “Republican” credentials against us until we kick him out of the party! What the heck does “Sensitivity” mean? Different rule of law for minorities? guess what – Caucasians will be a minority as soon as 2042! So will Republicans become insensitive to themselves? This is an issue of Principles and Values folks, not Race or ethnicity.
He noted that Obama had a significant advantage with Hispanics and African-Americans in the November elections. He criticized Republicans who are not elected to office and “immediately shout racism” against Sotomayor, while accusing Powell of supporting Obama because both men are black.
“We still have a problem,” he said.
Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has called Powell “just another liberal,” said he should become a Democrat and charged that Powell endorsed Obama based on race. Powell said Sunday that Limbaugh “doesn’t decide who I am or what I am no more than I decide who he is or what he is.
Gee – I think I’ll start calling myself a Democrat and we’ll see how far that gets me…….
Maureen Dowd unleashed a double barrelled attack on Sarah Palin in her op-ed in todays Sunday New York Times.
The viciousness and nastiness of this op-ed speak for volumes about Ms. Dowd. Its hard to imagine if the vitriol from the left could get any worse, but they’re reached close to bottom here. You have to admire the left in one way - they stick to their playbook -Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – Riducle your Opponent.
In three words I can sum up the article: ”Maureen hates Sarah”
A more complex analysis would suggest that the Left is going to miss having Sarah Palin to kick around for a while. It’s tough to ridicule a private figure.
Trust me, we have plenty more Sarah Palin coming our way in the future – stay tuned for the 2010 Mid Term Elections – shes gonna rock the house!
