Sarah Palin denounces Ezekiel Emanuel’s Complete Lives System

By Cassandra Effect, August 8, 2009 5:37 am

Looks like Sarah Palin got a peek at Ezekiel Emanuel’s “Complete Lives System” and like the rest of us is FREAKED OUT! (emphasis in her text is mine)

As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.

Rep. Michele Bachmann highlighted the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff, in a floor speech to the House of Representatives. I commend her for being a voice for the most precious members of our society, our children and our seniors.

We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Ronald Reagan once wrote, “Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Let’s stop and think and make our voices heard before it’s too late.

Inspiration for Sarah Palin – We ALREADY elected a “quitter” to the White House

By Cassandra Effect, August 1, 2009 7:13 am

This person quit his Senate seat only two years in to his term.

He was called a “Jackass” by his opponents, resulting in the donkey being used as the mascot for the Democratic party.

His family was attacked in the most mean-spirited of ways during the campaign (his wife’s 30 year old case of bigamy was brought out as an issue)

Who was it?  Old Hickory himself – Andrew Jackson!

Another Palin Ethics Complaint Dismissed

By Cassandra Effect, July 24, 2009 10:11 pm

As quickly as it was filed, serial ethics complaint stalker Andree McLeod’s complaint that Palin had violated the ethics act when campaining for VP and taking a salary was dismissed.  Watch how little press the truth of this  gets versus the sizzle of the “complaint” that was filed.   Check out the Alaska Pride blog for an in depth analysis on what might be motivating Andree McLeod…. HERE and HERE

From the Alaska Governors Office:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
No. 09-186

Another Ethics Complaint Dismissed

July 24, 2009, Anchorage, Alaska – The Personnel Board has announced that another ethics complaint against Governor Sarah Palin has been dismissed.

The complaint, the sixth filed by Anchorage resident Andree McLeod, accused the governor of violating the Ethics Act by receiving her salary while campaigning for vice president. The accusation, lodged Monday, was dismissed as legally flawed and factually devoid of merit.

Governor Palin remained on duty, conducted state business, and communicated with her staff and her constituents. “Andree McLeod has failed to prevail on any of the ethics complaints she has filed against the governor,” said Mike Nizich, Palin’s chief of staff. “It appears her agenda is clear – she’s abusing the ethics laws to harass public officials.”

More Palin Ethics “Complaints”, More Sarah Bashing, More Nonsense

By Cassandra Effect, July 23, 2009 12:00 am

Ethics “complaint” #21 was filed in the last few days – I again invite you to actually READ these complaints – in their complete, unabridged versions, so you can see how small these complaints really are and the efforts her detractors will go to make her look like a criminal.

July 20th Complaint (#21)

It states among other things that she didn’t report a beaded vest, ‘free’ advice she received but should have valued ?!), and unopened boxes that she received during her 2008 campaigm which might contain gifts!  (or possibly more ethics complaint letters!).  Please – this is a childish game now for serial complainer Andree McLeod

The previous ethics complaint was that she abused her office because she campaigned and drew a salary while doing so!  Just like EVERY OTHER POLITICIAN in the country, including Obama!

I’m all for keeping our elected officials held to the highest standards, but this is clearly a witch hunt.

Check out the Alaska Pride blog for an in depth analysis on what might be motivating Andree McLeod HERE and HERE

Hint:  McLeod is a lot like an unstable neighbor….back slowly away and don’t start to argue……

NY Times Maureen Dowd Obsessed with Sarah Palin

By Cassandra Effect, July 17, 2009 5:13 am

ok, we all know the leftnuts love to hate Sarah Palin.  And following after Sarah Palin’s resignation as Governor of Alaska, there were the expected bleats of the left sending her off.

Dowd has written about Palin in four straight columns.  Now I like Sarah Palin too, but there is SO MUCH going on right now in the world, you’d think Dowd would have gotten it all off her chest on July 5th when Maureen Dowd calls Sarah Palin “Crazy” and found SOMETHING else to talk about.

But Pulitzer Prize winning  NY Times columnist Maureen Dowd is looking more like an obsessed stalker every day.  You wonder if you went over to Dowd’s apartment if you would find stacks of of newspapers piled to the ceiling and in the back a shrine wall with burning candles, covered with Palin newspaper clippings and  photos of Palin with her eyes cut out, and a map to her house in Wasilla.

July 8th Column Sarah’s Secret Diary

Dowd creates a fictional Sarah Palin diary entry.  Very fictional and very silly.

July 12th Column Sweet, Tweet Revenge

Dowd creates a fictional “Twitter” exchange between Palin and McCain.  Did I mention that she doesn’t say its fictional?  Oh, yeah, better say that in case someone actually thinks this is real.

July 15th Column White Man’s Last Stand

Sarah Palin is the definition of irrational, a volatile and scattered country-music queen without the music. Her Republican fans defend her lack of application and intellect, happy to settle for her emotional electricity.

Not sure how Palin gets mentioned in a column about the White MAN, but somehow Dowd makes it work……

Why is Levi Johnston in the news – could it be…..PALIN?

By Cassandra Effect, July 13, 2009 8:11 pm

Someone explain to me why a teenage boy who knocks up his girlfriend, and then abandons his responsibilities is somehow qualified to comment on Sarah Palin’s political motives.  Why is the left fawning over this guy?  he deserves nothing but contempt.

The answer of course is that he is a USEFUL IDIOT for the Leftards and their relentless attacks on Sarah Palin.

Think – why are they so interested in destroying this woman?  Its because they are scared and concerned about what she represents – a “regular” person (well as regular as you can be to enter politics) who has a sense of mainstream American values.  She is the DESTROYER of all the BS they have been slinging to the masses and they dont’t know what to do about it other than destroy her using Alinsky rule #13:  Pick the target, freeze it and personalize it.

Sarah Palin to campaign for Republicans AND Democrats

By Cassandra Effect, July 12, 2009 3:45 pm

In an exclusive Washington Times interview, Sarah Palin announced to the world what Cassandra Effect readers knew 9 days ago! in the post Sarah Palin – Unleashed!

“I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation,”

She is also advocating the need to re-brand the Republican party -

The governor, 45, said she shared former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s view that Republicans, now trailing Democrats and independents in registration in many states, should back moderate to conservative Democrats in congressional districts and states where Republicans stand almost no chance of winning.

The object would be to build a majority coalition that reflects what polls suggest is the center-right tilt of the U.S. electorate as a whole.

You read it here weeks ago  in THE GOP is a Dead Brand.  The GOP of course is not ready to burn their house down yet but this is a big step towards that end!   The thing to watch now will be Republicans who have the freedom to shoot arrows against her  – they will be coming out of the woodwork on the main stream media.  The reason?  With Palin out of the Governor role, there is no party harm in slinging arrows at here – she’s just a private citizen.  Watch and listen – the media will find willing hacks to say bad things about her - so don’t be surprised.

So far Texas Gov. Rick Perry is on board with Palin stumping for him, but not so much with Chris Christie who is the GOP candiate for NJ Governor.

Rock the House Sarah!

Palin responds to another ethics complaint

By Cassandra Effect, July 11, 2009 4:02 am

As she prepares to leave office, yet ANOTHER ethics complaint is filed against her. (Letter is HERE)  This time the complaint alleges that she should not have been paid a per diem for living at home in Wasilla when the Governors Mansion in Juneau is supposed to be her home and already “paid for” by the state.   The letter is worth reading so you can see how a letter from a single concerned citizen becomes national news WITHOUT ANY LEGAL OPINION.   It is very interesting to note that ethics complaints in Alaska are supposed to be filed confidentially, but this complaint was announced to the press.  Surely you can understand why the law should require an ethics complaint would be treated confidentially, right?  Its so that if the compliant is found to be untrue, the person’s would not have had their name dragged through the mud.  But wait – that’s the strategy here – the politics of personal destruction.

Gov’s Chief of Staff Releases Statement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
No. 09-174

Governor’s Chief of Staff Releases Statement

July 10, 2009 Fairbanks, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin’s chief of staff, Mike Nizich, issued the following statement today on the occasion of the 19th ethics complaint being filed against the governor or a member of her staff:

“A week ago today, the governor told Alaskans that she was about to step down as governor in large part because of the campaign of harassment against this office, in which the Executive Branch Ethics Act has been repeatedly abused. Incredibly, since then two more ethics complaints have been filed against the governor, including one today.

“Typically, the first action by these complainants has been an illegal one – to announce the filing of the complaints to the news media, in clear violation of the mandatory confidentiality in the law. Unfortunately, unlike the legislative ethics act, there is no provision in the executive ethics act for a complaint to be automatically dismissed when it is publicized prematurely. Regardless of that, it is breathtakingly hypocritical for anyone to violate the ethics law in the very act of making an allegation against the governor.”

“Although the governor would not have thought it possible, the latest complaint rises to a new level of absurdity in alleging that she has been paid for interviews that she has given to the news media. It is amazing to me that anyone could think that, let alone put their name behind it and once again seek to distract state officials and needlessly increase their work load. The state is losing the value of some of its expenditures when public servants are pulled away from important assignments to deal with far-fetched and mean-spirited allegations.”

Governor Palin issued the following statement:

“The only saving grace in this recent episode is that it proves beyond any doubt the significance of the problem Alaska faces in the ‘new normal’ of political discourse. I hope this will be a wake-up call – to legislators, to commentators and to citizens generally – that we need a much more civil and respectful dialogue that focuses on the best interests of the state, rather than the petty resentments of a few.”

Of the ethics complaints against the governor or her staff, 15 have been resolved without any finding of wrongdoing, and four are now pending.

Sarah Palin’s Game Theory

By Cassandra Effect, July 9, 2009 7:06 pm

Lets use a little game theory to analyze Sarah Palin’s political options:

Option 1 Stay in Office as Governor and make a Presidential run for 2012

Pro’s:

Retains Governor Title, and prestige associated with such

Con’s:

Subject to continued ethics attacks, which draw down her energy and personal financial resources

Difficulty in campaigning the Lower 48 from Alaska

Weak National Exposure – will again face the “Sarah is stupid” argument of the Left

Option 2 Exit office now and prepare for 2012 and support 2010 candidates

Pros:

Write book – generate revenue to eliminate personal expenses and generate national PR

Will Campaign for 2010 Congressional Candidates – generate more PR and political capital

Will gain true National Exposure if she desires to run for President

Cons:

Will be named  ”quitter”

Option 2 makes complete sense once you think about it – the Left will be calling her names regardless of the scenario.  Might as well make money on her book and public speaking while she is bankable and make a difference in the mid term elections.  Between now and 2012, she has a lot of time to make a national impact and deny the “quitter” name.

Maureen Dowd calls Sarah Palin “Crazy”

By Cassandra Effect, July 4, 2009 9:43 pm

Maureen Dowd unleashed a double barrelled attack on Sarah Palin in her op-ed in  todays Sunday New York Times.

The viciousness and nastiness of this op-ed speak for volumes about Ms. Dowd.  Its hard to imagine if the vitriol from the left could get any worse, but they’re reached close to bottom here.  You have to admire the left in one way - they stick to their playbook -Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals  – Riducle your Opponent.

Names Maureen Calls Sarah: Nutty puppy, erratic behavior, narcissistic personality disorder, solipsistic meltdown, incoherent, prickly, reckless

In three words I can sum up the article:  ”Maureen hates Sarah”

A more complex analysis would suggest that the Left is going to miss having Sarah Palin to kick around for a while.  It’s tough to ridicule a private figure.

Trust me, we have plenty more Sarah Palin coming our way in the future – stay tuned for the 2010 Mid Term Elections – shes gonna rock the house!

Sarah Palin – Unleashed!

By Cassandra Effect, July 3, 2009 2:56 pm

Sarah Palin has announced she will resign as Governor of Alaska.   This is huge folks!  She will now be heading into the campaign breach, unfettered, and unassailable as a public servant.  This will empower her to be the chief campaigner for the 2010 midterm elections, as well as give her plenty of street cred and time for the American people to get used to seeing routinely before the 2012 Presidential Election.  Good luck to the MSM in trying to tear her down – she is a force of nature!  Go Sarah go!

Her official remarks are HERE, but be sure to read this part below - inspiring!  (Emphasis mine)

Life is too short to compromise time and resources… it may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: “Sit down and shut up”, but that’s the worthless, easy path; that’s a quitter’s way out. And a problem in our country today is apathy. It would be apathetic to just hunker down and “go with the flow”.

Nah, only dead fish “go with the flow”.

No. Productive, fulfilled people determine where to put their efforts, choosing to wisely utilize precious time… to BUILD UP.

And there is such a need to BUILD up and FIGHT for our state and our country. I choose to FIGHT for it! And I’ll work hard for others who still believe in free enterprise and smaller government; strong national security for our country and support for our troops; energy independence; and for those who will protect freedom and equality and LIFE… I’ll work for and campaign for those PROUD to be American, and those who are INSPIRED by our ideals and won’t deride them.

I WILL support others who seek to serve, in or out of office, for the RIGHT reasons, and I don’t care what party they’re in or no party at all. Inside Alaska – or Outside Alaska.

But I won’t do it from the Governor’s desk.

I’ve never believed that I, nor anyone else, needs a title to do this – to make a difference… to HELP people. So I choose, for my State and my family, more “freedom” to progress, all the way around… so that Alaska may progress… I will not seek re-election as Governor.

And so as I thought about this announcement that I wouldn’t run for re-election and what it means for Alaska, I thought about how much fun some governors have as lame ducks… travel around the state, to the Lower 48 (maybe), overseas on international trade – as so many politicians do. And then I thought – that’s what’s wrong – many just accept that lame duck status, hit the road, draw the paycheck, and “milk it”. I’m not putting Alaska through that – I promised efficiencies and effectiveness! ? That’s not how I am wired. I am not wired to operate under the same old “politics as usual.” I promised that four years ago – and I meant it.

It’s not what is best for Alaska.

I am determined to take the right path for Alaska even though it is unconventional and not so comfortable.
